About us

We are the Prague Masonic lodge Masaryk, ideály evropské a humanitní (MEH). We belong to the Grand Orient de France and bring together people of different nationalities. Czech is our main language and the Czech setting is the starting point for our work, with an openness to Europe.

Where we come from

Our lodge was founded in 2021. Before that, a Masonic triangle met in Prague: a smaller group from which the lodge developed. Some of our members remember the revival of Freemasonry in the Czech lands after 1989. Their firsthand experience meets the perspective of members who joined later.

Why we meet

We ask how to live responsibly, both as individuals and as citizens sharing a common world. We listen to each other, reflect on human dignity, freedom and responsibility, and learn to respect different views. Our work is grounded in humanism, freedom of conscience and solidarity. We also want these values to shape how we act in everyday life.
